Juanita Luna

Biography

Juanita Luna is an industry-recognized Legal Operations consultant with a proven track record of transforming legal departments into strategic business partners. She specializes in optimizing operations, building strategic roadmaps, implementing strong financial metrics, and designing high-value outside counsel management solutions for businesses ranging from Fortune 50 companies to startups. Juanita's career spans premier professional services and legal firms, giving her a unique, multidimensional perspective that combines elite law firm management, corporate Legal Operations, and top-tier management consulting principles.

Prior to independent consulting, Juanita served as Director of Legal Operations, Administration & Claims at Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), a Fortune 200 enterprise. At PG&E, she led multi-year strategic initiatives, advanced financial reporting systems, outside counsel cost management programs, and legal technology selection and adoption. Her leadership and innovation were recognized with the Recorder/ALM Legal In-House Impact Award.

She served as Executive Director for US & Asia at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, overseeing complex operational strategies across global regions, and held senior management leadership roles at Bain & Company and Latham & Watkins.

She is a thought leader in the legal industry and frequently speaks on value creation, financial optimization, outside counsel management, and mentorship and succession planning. She taught Law Firm Management at UC Irvine Extension and remains deeply active in community leadership as a Board Emeritus and Ambassador for San Francisco-area nonprofit organizations.

Juanita holds a B.A. from The Catholic University of America and an Executive Management Certificate from the Claremont Graduate University Drucker School of Management. She lives in the San Francisco area.
