Brian Hupp

Brian Hupp was a founding leadership team member of the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) and served many years on the CLOC Board of Directors. After more than 25 years in the legal industry, Brian has developed expertise in building corporate legal operations functions from the ground up and has built a reputation for collaboration with legal technology partners to turn nascent technologies into essential, cutting-edge components of the legal operations arsenal. In addition to his UpLevel work, he has served as Special Advisor to Onna, a company in the eDiscovery and Knowledge Management space.

Brian established and led Legal Operations functions and teams for Electronic Arts, Dolby Laboratories, and Facebook. He also served as Legal Chief of Staff to EA’s GC. He moved each legal team from an assessment phase to building and implementing strategic roadmaps for process restructuring, budget management, and smarter technology infrastructure, with a constant eye on establishing productive partnerships across the enterprise. Brian leverages more than a decade of commercial licensing drafting and negotiation experience to assist our clients with workflow, self-service contracting, and CLM implementations.

Brian is also a photographer and glass artist who advocates engaging creativity in the corporate workspace. He is based in Oakland.
