Transforming how Legal work is done within a company would be inconceivably difficult without having an actual plan in place for the team to work towards. A strategic plan, often called a roadmap, is simply a visualization of the steps needed to meet the department’s goals.

These plans show there is a method to the madness. They also help determine what projects are low-hanging fruit, which will result in cost savings that can be used to invest in more impactful projects. They help with prioritization, highlight the need for new or enhanced tools, and perhaps most importantly, illustrate the need for human resources, both insourced and outsourced. This roadmap also acts as a visual method of communicating goals and the progress toward them to the rest of the team.

Planning begins with evaluating current-state practices, and UpLevel Ops crafts multi-year, practical, actionable roadmaps to develop and optimize talent and enhance org design to ensure optimal levels of support from within the organization.

• How are we managing outside counsel, and can work be moved to alternative service providers?

 
We aim to understand your organization, long-term strategy, processes, technology, outside counsel usage, people management, learning and development, and other topics you’d like us to assess. We review and analyze any data or documents provided by your team, calibrate initial ideas, and prioritize a set of realistic, practical recommendations.

After iterating with your leadership team on these prioritized recommendations, we develop a 3-5 year Strategic Plan with Organizational Design to help you meet your goals.
